1) Do you perform at weddings?
TCB specializes in weddings and private functions, please visit our privates page!

2) How many members are there, and what is the instrumentation?
TCB consists of 9 members. 2 male lead vocalists, 1 female lead vocalist, a  guitar, bass, keyboard, drums, trumpet, and a saxophone/flute player.

3) If we wanted to come see you at a function you are playing is that allowed?

Something else very important to keep in mind, our volume at a club venue is in no way the volume we would be outputting at your event. Many times we are "at the mercy" of a house system or need to be heard above bar "chatter" We do everything we can to be amplified and still sound great! At your event we play as softly, or as loudly as you/your venue would like us to!

4) I hear other entertainment agencies warning clients about "bar bands".
This is certainly a case of misinformation. In the first place, the vast majority of "wedding bands" wouldn't be able to thrive on a "club circuit." It  requires a great degree of talent to entertain the masses from venue to venue and do it in an original and exciting manner. Versatility and adaptation are key components for any successful group. TCB is one of the fortunate bands that have the talent to rock & roll with the best of them, but can also put on tuxedos and deliver music at a reception that is classic, elegant and timeless. Times have changed and so has the presentation of music at a wedding reception. Moms and Dads are young enough to remember what healthy music sounds like. Very often your best band at a wedding is NOT a wedding band!

5) Do you offer music for cocktail hour or our ceremony?
Yes, TCB is able to offer piano, horns, etc for your ceremony should you so desire.
Also, piano music is provided for the cocktail hour.

6) What happens if everyone is having a great time and we want to extend our function for 1/2 hr?
TCB is able to keep the party going for an additional fee. The host/hostess needs to inform Paul Martone one half hour before the party is formally scheduled to end.  The fee is due upon request for the overtime.

7) If we see you at a function and book you for our event, will the musicians be the same?
Unlike some entertainment agencies that assemble a group of their best musicians for a showcase or special function, then come your party you don't recognize any of the faces, with Chatterband, what you see is what you get. We're not just a band, we're an extended family. The staying power of our members is something found not too often in this industry. As a result of the talent and camaraderie, TCB plays from the heart and that spills into every function and guest we entertain. You are swept up in the music and excitement as much as the band.

8) I want a special song/songs for my event. Can you perform it, or play the cd?
TCB will learn any special requests for your event. Please give the band a month's notice for any such requests.  That offers ample time for us to prepare. If you choose to have the song played on cd, please provide us with the music the day of your event.

9) Since you've played so many receptions, do you have any advice on how my party can be a great success?
There are many factors that contribute to a great party.
1) Having a caterer that is "on the ball." Meaning it doesn't take them 2+ hours to serve the dinner. This happens    too often and leaves you and your guests limited time to actually "dance and party." This is why we recommend allowing dancing in between courses. Some caterers "frown" on this, but you are in charge. Make your requests known.  An experienced caterer will work with your entertainment, not against it.
2) Many times the bar will be located outside of the reception area. This causes some issues because people tend to gather around the bar, and therefore are nowhere near your entertainment. This makes it difficult for the MC to have seamless transitions during parent dancing, cake cutting etc. Time is wasted attempting to gather everyone back in the main reception hall,  and/or they miss all the fun!
3) On occasion couples unintentionally "micromanage" the band. We absolutely personalize every reception with the bride and grooms song requests. But when you get into theatrics, specific song orders, requesting 15 songs that aren't on our list a week prior to the event, etc., you take away the reason you hired a seasoned band.  Also keep in mind, you have many other guests that may not share your musical tastes. You hire professionals for a reason. Trust our 50+ years experience in the entertainment business and 200+ affairs a year,  to keep your reception running smoothly and the dance floor NEVER empty.
4) It's always good fun when "Uncle Bobby" wants to come up and sing a song. We encourage it, but when Uncle Bobby decides to become the 10th band member and brings the rest of the reception on stage and never leave, it can get to be too much and impede the band from entertaining to the best of our abilities. We also do not want anyone getting hurt. There have been quite a few falls into the drums, over monitors, etc. Have a great time with us, but please be aware of your surroundings.

9) My wedding is out of town. How far will the band travel?
Chatterband plays all over Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware,  and beyond.. For example, we have traveled to cities including, Boston, MA; Washington DC; Arlington, VA; Chapel Hill, NC;  and New York for weddings and events of all types. Fee factors vary depending on travel options, location, and time. Depending on your budget Chatterband is available for travel as far as you will allow!

10) How much does the band cost?
Our fees are competitive with the rest of the top groups in the area. Many factors determine the fee such as, date, time, location, and type of event.

11) I'd like to book Chatterband for my event, or have some more questions. Who should I contact?
All inquiries regarding pricing, booking, and general questions should be directed to Chatterbands owner/manager, Paul Martone. Paul can be reached via email at pmartone@chatterband.com or by telephone at 856-596-4221
